Dirty Hyper

Discussion in 'Hypermotard' started by Stripy, Mar 24, 2019.

  1. hey all,
Hope you’ve all had a nice biking weekend - I have!

The new HM950 is such a gem and fun bike to ride, it’s classes up from the old bikes I’ve had.

One thing though - it likes it dirty, really dirty!
As you can see on the pic here, it’s got a taste for the dirty stuff straight in its face. Oil cooler and top of horizontal cylinder is somewhat worse, so today have been spent in the garage with a stretched metal net from Wickes, making a radiator cover for £6.79. But what can one do with regards to the mudguard and avoid the headlight getting drenched from the spray of the front wheel?

Thanks in advance for tips and tricks!

  4. My 821 is the same. If it even thinks it smells a drop of rain it's already dirty - a real magnet :) Also haven't found a way to stop that... Enjoy!!

  5. Won’t stop the dirt but have you thought about a 9h ceramic paint coat?
Will make it easier to clean.

  6. Im getting my 950SP coated with Ceramic Pro before it turns a wheel. No cheap but will be worth it in the long run

  7. No haven’t thought of that.... I still have to clean it, though?
