Diy License Plate Holder On Rear Wheel

Discussion in 'Hypermotard' started by ampsource, Sep 13, 2019.

  1. Hey Guys,

Just wanted to share my yesterdays DIY project for my 900SS and Hyper 1100 (same mounting points). License plate holder for on the rear wheel. Rizoma and other solutions are just to expensive for me.

Almost done and now i have to build a second one haha :).

Going to get them poadercoated as soon as everything is done. Still need to add 2 crossbars dor strength and think about routing a cable for the lighting through. Btw i made it out of steel.

  2. Yeah! I like that good work :upyeah:

  3. Nice

    Are you only making 2

  4. I don’t believe that it is an MOT fail to not have a number plate light. My SF848 doesn’t have a number plate light and gets through its MOT ok. So no need to route a cable for the light unless you want to.

  5. Thx! For now only 2 :). Need to finish my project haha.

  6. No doubt im installing a license plate light! Here in the Netherlands it is required and will get fined if not present.

    So not in the UK?

  7. UK law requires the number plate to be illuminated but how you go about it is open to interpretation.
