Reminder - the London Branch meets tonight at The Ship Inn, Jews Road, Wandsworth SW18. It's a large riverside pub near the Wandsworth roundabout. Anyone on a Duke welcome, 7pm onwards.
what an excellent bike meet, best evening one i've been to - ever. An amazing atmosphere with genuine camaraderie certainly made me feel at home. The penny farthing arrival seemed somehow in keeping! (he didn't come back at 10.30 btw). Good to meet Pete and Alex (only two I think that are on here). Got to follow a Panigale part-way home which was the icing on the cake and a certain 'presence' kept us honest for the duration which was probably a good thing.
Agreed - a good evening. I've been going for six months now. Good to meet you Chris. Some cool bikes down last night (plus the guy from the states!) - amazing that the Panigale wasn't the centre of attention.
Thanks Pete, I could become a regular. Good to meet Ian also - a mine of information on bikes and a regular dark horse. We spoke about suspension and health until long after the pub had shut. A quality time for me.
Mario Algarra, our visitor last night from Atlanta, Georgia USA, has emailed me some photos of his bikes back in USA, etc. I have posted them in an album on our Yahoo group: londondocgb : London DOCGB I expect he will send some more soon.
The gorgeous 1974 750SS greenframe, mainly, IMHO the most beautiful bike ever made Ducati or otherwise. Feel free to disagree.
Wednesday 12 September @ 7.00pm. You'd be very welcome, Yets. Nothing formal happens, just a drink and a natter, & maybe something to eat.
