  1. Im thinking of doing an open uni engineering course in motorbike motorsport engineering 6 years mind as i don't want to do it full time.

Does anyone work in the industry?

I've been a builder for the last 11 years and qualified civil engineer, running your own company has its perks. But seeing as we only get one chance at this life, id like to do something that i could truly say I'm passionate about and want to do every day.

Mechanics and engineering is my passions and RND into parts performance etc

Any info and or advice on how people got into he industry and what they did would be ace.

    Cheers Ben

  2. I've worked in motor sport with mainly cars but my last firm was bikes.....

Building trade is far better ... pay wise atleast

  3. How much free time do you have ? If you want to break into any sport, it's usual to have to put yourself about at the club level to get yourself a CV. Unless you are lucky of course. I know Steve Moore was looking for an unpaid keen, computer savvy person to learn the ropes with the MR BSB team at the end of last year. I believe the expectation was that the successful candidate would attend every BSB round and testing for just food and a tent (probably a caravan or mobile home at the track). Not a lot of money around for support people, just the bike and rider. I admire your spunk and wish you every success :upyeah:. Andy

  4. I have all the time in the world. Bar working which is 85% of my time.
Yeh i spoke to steve about it but it was already taken, i genuinely don't
care about not getting paid for it for a while. even the chance at a weekend to drop in and get involved with whatever would be ideal! Ive taken my panigale apart and put it back together, id like to think I'm a bit passed amateur!

Im happy to start at any level

Money isn't really and issue as before i do it ill invest in property. Planning on not forgetting the building stuff.

    Thanks for the support!!

  5. You could try a local dealer who races, or builds racers, they may know someone who could do with spare hands who know their way around a bike. Maybe Ducati dealer knows a few riders in tri options and could introduce you? Get to know the paddock then work from there :upyeah:
