939 SP Does The Sp Have Different Gearing?

  1. just read on a review that the 939SP has taller gearing?

    Any truth behind this?

    Doesn't feel any longer than my 821, but I'm religiously running it in.....honest!

  2. Yes it does. 2 tooth less on the rear sprocket. Which of course also help to have that punch under 6k revs

  3. I see. Less teeth on the rear sprocket decreases acceleration but raises top speed.

  4. But what's the front ?
    3 on, or off the back is the same as one on the front basically.

  5. Correct. But too few on the front can cause wear issues, so adding on rear is often preferred instead of fewer on the front.
