Yes, be very careful in the wet as it was hellishly slippery when we raced there. Having said that, if they've resurfaced the track when it was redone it may have improved grip levels.
It is good fun in the wet but it feels like there are 3 hairpins (Melbourne, Goddards & Redgate). Very easy to go off down Craner Curves too. Weather doesn't look that bad for Friday tho.
Good luck tommorow ruffs.steady on the siting lap, nice and smooth if it don't feel good u can always come in.enjoy.
Cheers Phoenix. Well it turned out fine. Dry ride up to Donnington. Sunny and breezy untill about 2.30 then rain ++. Got 5 sessions in then jibbed out of wet riding and headed for home, getting wet on return journey. What a great track it is. Nice crowd there too. Quite a few "offs", mostly "cold tyre" spills I think. As for me, stayed upright, and enjoyed it. Hung off the back, but learned the track reasonably well for another time. Thanks to Nog for giving me a billet for the day, and for my Sparx baffles. Those Moto Rapido Panigales are stunners. NIce group of guys from Ducati Coventry too, always a friendly welcome from David Reilly. Lots of Ducatis on track. All in all, a great day, especially considering what might have been, given the weather forecast.
Glad u enjoyed it,were up there next month for Ducati day.there were places still available when I booked last week.
