If somebody gave this to me, then it would go straight into the food waste bin.... But there are people out there who GAF. I am happy to remain detached.
If you binned it you would be the mug - you don't want it, sell it and put the money towards something you would appreciate.
A good fruit cake laced with alcohol and frozen should last years Keep the icing on it when freezing and replace when you take it out It was a thing years ago that you saved your top tier of wedding cake for your babies christening I froze mine and took it out of the freezer (deep one) when moving after around 8 years (my kids aren’t christened) and it tasted as good as the day it was made My dear Aunty made my wedding cake and it was fed a lot of alcohol
