  4. I used to have the softest, best natured ferret in the world. But he could still hurt and draw blood when play biting. He never meant any harm and he'd lick you better to say sorry. He was 16" long and weighed about as much as a bag of sugar.

How's that great woolly bugger going to say whoops, sorreee:D! when its just accidentally bitten your head off like a jelly baby? Or sat on you..

    Wonderful creature though..

  12. We went Enduro riding in Transylvania in September. The inn owner found an orphane bear cub in the mountains, that cub was 1/5 size of the one in the attached video and only 7-9 months old in September. Very playfull creature had some wrestling with the bear, but could feel it was already much more powerfull than my 8 years old alsacian male. Cannot even imagine how powerful they get when full adult. Glad we did not meet the mother whilst riding or maybe the poor thing was killed by some idiot hunter.
They keep them until aproximately 20 months old than take them to a bear sanctuary in the mountains.
I hope will see the bear again in April, don't think he will remember me...:worried:

  13. They're killing a lot of brown bears in Romania because of clashes with human society. Probably the last place from which wild brown bears will finally become extinct in Europe. Very sad. I should go to Romania while they're still there. Are European brown bears as big as north American ones?

  14. People are very friendly and helpfull down there.
Hope I can outpace one bear on my KTM :) Athough on narrow lanes they could jump out unexpectedly from bushes. Especially when we stop to eat raspberries. :yum Never heard of any rider being killed
Haven't got a clue if the same size..the ones I saw at the sanctuary where quite big.
    Lucky guys in Slovakia
