Dreaded Extra Bolt / Spacer

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Byza, Aug 4, 2021.

  1. Hi there, really hope someone is able
    to help a novice.

I decided to remove the front fairing on my 959. I was good and put named zip lock bags as the bolts came off.

Basically I was left with the following spacer looking thing, its un-threaded. I took a photo of where where it was and the bolts that are back in there (one of them im unsure of but it fits and I have no other missing spots) The suspect area is the splash guard above the front wheel in the wheel well.

Everything does appear in order from what I can see but its driving me mad knowing its come from somewhere, perhaps its a spacer between two panel
or something is all I can think. Any help much appreciated.

    cheers B

  2. that "top hat" washer inserts into one of the rubber bushes/bungs, so you will have one of the rubber parts without this inserted. You may need to back off the bolts 1 by 1 to see under the washer is there is one missing. From the photos, the second photo seems to have the one at the bottom missing.
