1200 Dtc Question On My 2010

  1. I'm sure someone can answer this one really quickly but is there any visual indicator on the dash when you activate the ABS or DTC? Most talk of a flashing red light or similar but I can't think of seeing anything like that on my multi.

  2. Yes, the red segments around the circular part of the display flash when the DTC intervenes. I'm less sure about the ABS.

  3. Never notice it when my ABS kicks in, the only thing I notice is my rear brake peddle vibrates if I'm braking to hard and the rear leaves the floor or starts to lock up.
I don't understand how the DTC works you'd think it would kick in every time you pop a wheelie but it never has. Hard on the throttle back spinning faster than front is meant to tell it to kick in isn't it?

  4. Same with the abs. Rear brake pedal clicks, clunks and pushes your foot back but definitely works. Only activated front abs once and was too busy looking at the car to look for dash lights. Just don't think I've activated DTC yet but I'm getting tearing on the tyres on the road so the standard grip must be very good. Just didn't know if I had been using DTC without knowing it.

  5. I've never messed with the DCT settings but just in case which way in more intrusive? up the numbers or down?

  6. Up is more intrusive. I have urban set all the way up to 8. It's my "it's pissing it down" setting. In the manual it gives suggestions on setting, I.e 6/7 for mildly moist and 8 for full wet.

I'm always tempted to change urban to 150bhp high and TC set to max 8, then gun it in a straight line in the wet. Not got the balls though as it is after all Italian and the electronics will choose that moment to fail me

  7. The DTC gets the red light flashing if set too high when you wheelie . I shut my DTC off for a few yrs but this year set it to 1 in sport mode high power which is where I ride 99%.
