Any use to anyone... 916 SP Barrel base gaskets 0.2 mm , these are brand new still in their packets. No longer available from Ducati, discontinued... £15 posted?
I don't know to be honest, they aren't an engine I've done much on, I'm sure someone on here will enlighten us. For the 916 SP Ducati did 3 thicknesses of base gasket 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4, I'm assuming to fine tune the squish.
while they're useful for building up a motor, and if you're going to the time and trouble of setting squish etc. In general, unless you have a stash of the older thicker head gaskets, 0.2 will be too thin to run with the newer thin head gaskets on the 916. I usually find that using the newer head gaskets, you need a mix of 0.2, 0.3 and/or 0.4mm's to set the squish. You wouldn't get away with just a 0.2mm, especially on stock rods.
