Hello, Last fall I got in an accident on my Ducati Monster 1100 EVO. The bike managed to only take minor cosmetic damage but there is a minor notch on the bottom left crankcase that is leaking oil. The hole is not visible except for the slow seepage of oil. In order to avoid spending over 4000$ on a new crankcase I was hoping to see if this could be welded, or even better apply a JB Weld product. It would be high heat and applicable for aluminum. Here is a link to a possible JB weld product and a picture of the damage. In order to do this however I would need to run a solvent through the crankcase to clean out any oil. Do they make specific solvents to do this? If so what? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks! HighHeat Epoxy Putty | J-B Weld
