It is with a heavy heart that I am selling my awesome original Ducati 748 Biposto with a Monoposto conversion. Unfortunately, the ongoing side effects of my post-cancer recovery treatment mean I cannot enjoy riding it, so it is time to bite the bullet and pass him on to a new owner. Purchased in Oct.25. only ridden four times since, which was amazing, as it still grips the road the way it was designed to do, even though it is coming up to 28 years old. Previous owner was a passionate Ducati owner, proactively replacing known issues, parts, and connectors before they fail. The local owner before him did a ground up restoration on it, body work is like glass, engine is smooth, SAMCO pipes for better cooling, extended side stand (1098 part), fuel pump, fuel light, clutch slave cylinder etc. belts done in Feb24, oil service done annually, with no expense spared. Loads of paper history records, (MOT certs. and parts), several original spare parts, always stored covered, on charge, up on paddock stands in a carpeted garage. Body and paint work is 1st class, no cracks, release clips work effortlessly, and it glimmers in the sun. There is a tiny hairline scratch on the right lower side panel, all other panel and paint work is fantastic. The engine is strong, starts, ticks over and runs smoothly as it should, a testament to previous owners maintenance. Bike details: - First registered on 15/01/98 - Reg. is R438 YPX - Mileage is 22,344 (which aligns to MOT history) - MOT until 27/06/26 - I am the 4th owner according to V5 - Comes with 2-keys - Datatag markings/ paperwork - Original Ducati parts include a Biposto seat unit – still in bubble wrap, spare new screen, 2 side-mirrors, pillion foot pegs, 2 indicator lenses, 2 heal protection plates, rear suspension ride height adjuster, camblet adjustment tool and socket, 2 replacement cambelts (bought Nov.25), coil pack puller tool, spare 5ltr of oil (not pictured) and the Haynes manual. Overall, a beautiful original bike in classic Ducati Red, amazing condition, hence why I bought it 5-months ago, yet my health means it is time for someone else to enjoy it. It is keenly priced to sell at £5,550.00. I am based in Falmouth, Cornwall, contact me for a viewing or a video walk round, happy for test rides if I have the full asking price in cash in my hands. I can recommend a trusted bike transport company I have personally used previously. Thank you for looking and I will be sorry to see it go.
good luck with the sale Cornish, and obviously hope that the treatment has been a success. The bike looks lovely.
Thanks Chris, someone is going to get a cracker of a bike for sure! The treatment is what it is, I'm still here, still positive, yet more importantly, still annoying the wife
it's under "Thread Tools" at the top of your thread. Be aware - you might select CAPITALS but will decide to select lower case on occasion for you instead - just a software glitch.
