Birdie, just in case you don't know the later bikes intimately, this may be a Zeuna link/collector which are not compatible with the Termi headers used on most bikes 916/748 bikes up to MY02 although they do work with all the 45mm end cans. The Zeuna system headers are one piece including the manifolds and have different diameter mating joints with the collectors, part number for the Zeuna link/collector is 570.1.057.1A, the Termi collector for that era bike is 570.1.030.1A. The only 748 parts books that have these in as an alternative is the final 2003 issue. I have a Zeuna spare myself having had both the original manifold pipes crack at the head mating flanges and the availability of used Zeuna headers means they were not an option for the repair. Not sure if the 748R used them but best to check part number
Nick, I will take the gear change linkage, Right Hand switchgear, seat latch/cable, clutch push rod, speedo drive, headlight bucket/air temp sensor bracket, exhaust springs and sprocket cover (and any screws you have left)
