I thought only the asymmetric were 50mm, the full systems were fatter?

  4. Asymmetric pipes have a different OD so they're generally not referred with any size, just "asymmetric" or "slip-on". Full systems were available in 50, 54 and 57mm.

  5. so for an unmdified 749 engine, are we happy with the 50, or have we found that 54 works better? lets not even bring your unobtanium akra 57mm jesus unit into the equation

  6. From what I know even the 999(/S) is happier with a 54mm instead of a 57mm system so I'd probably go with the 50mm for a 749.

  7. that's very helpful :)
I suppose in that respect even if it went up to 924 the 50 might still be the better choice on stock heads in that case.
