  1. Bit of a claim but I think my Ducati 750SS is probably the best, original low mileage one for sale in the country. It’s lived in someone’s lounge for most of its life and I have only ever ridden it in the dry.

It has only covered approx 6500 miles from new and the ride, condition and gear change reflect that.

In terms of recent service, it has had:

May 2021 - oil and filter
June 2020 - oil and filter (Alton Ducati)
April 2020 - fuel tank cleaned with new filter, pump and gaskets
March 2019 - Full desmo belt service which cost over £800.

This year I also had Braided HEL lines fitted for both front and back brakes, the clutch and brand new Brembo front brake discs and Brembo front pads. Of course all the fluid was done too which set me back some £700.

The new owner would have peace of mind at least!

The tank is mint, the fairings are pretty much mint less for a scratch on the LH fairing and the engine casing is excellent less for a bit of the usual pitting.

    Also have both keys

    price is £3600.

  3. Well I’ve always had a dodgy back and although it’s a pretty comfy position, it’s just tweaking me a bit so I’m going to have to get something a bit more upright. Possible a Triumph Speedmaster. Saw a lovely one at Brooklands on the weekend

  4. Certainly a very different riding style compared to the above motorcycle.

  6. Me too , but i wouldn't mind having a rideout on any modern Triumph motorbike.

  7. Easy - Monster 750 or 750ie. Riding position is like being on a sofa compared to the SS

  8. You should give the Thruxton a go, very nice indeed.
    One for the future?

  9. Yes for me it's the only brand out there that's caught my attention in recent times.

  10. That looks excellent, good luck with the sale.

  11. Lovely bike! Rare to find one with such low mileage, one would imagine. GLWS!

  12. Hi all, I’ve decided to keep my 750SS and enjoy it for a fair while longer yet. Grateful if the thread can be closed

  13. That makes a lot of sense, why give it away.

  14. Exactly! It was a bit of a spontaneous thing as I did my back in but actually the ride position doesn’t really put strain in my back so no need to let it go. Plus I love it! I just need a dry Sunday now….

  16. :upyeah:

Although arguments will continue long and wide, for me talking carb version only, the 750 engine is the overall best of all the two-valve/belt engines of that time, and for several reasons. Of course the 900 has more grunt in places but even carefully tuned, it doesn't pick up quite as well as a 750. A caned 750 will hang onto a 900's coat tails very well, and have done it many times.
