Ducati 900 Final Edition

Discussion in 'Supersport (1974-2007)' started by Pauldonjuan, Sep 30, 2018.

  1. Does anyone know if some, any or all of the 900 FE's had the engine painted differently to the powder coat that's on all the 900 so's ? Like heavier looking and slightly lighter silver?
I'm referring to the euro spec FE's, not the American ones with the later ie type engine.

    Cheers.

  2. Could be, but also by these days a lot of engines are being refinished.

Are you buying an FE after selling that lovely yellow SS?

  3. Ian,Did you hang on to your Superlight as i see that King Solomon's mines have one up for sale at the minute:thinkingface:

  4. I've had the fe for a while now, 4000 miles all stock and good history, these cases have puzzled me as I know they've not been touched for at least 16 yrs... hence wondered if it was some factory thing

  11. Yep. It's safely tucked up and all returned to full health. :)

Italia have quite a nice one in, a 944 engine conversion with Dymag wheels and (I think) flat slides... red though, but you can't have everything ;)
