Ducati 998 Frame Valuation

Discussion in 'Brakers - Stealth Vent Lights' started by Mr. Faffington, Jul 14, 2016.

  1. Hi,

I need some help finding someone who can provide me with a formal valuation of my 998 Frame.

I've bought a 998 frame from the US privately and in order to get it UK registered I need a garage or breakers to give me a valuation. All I need is letter headed bit of paper saying how much it is worth so that HMRC can work out how much VAT to charge me.

Is there anyone here that can help me out?

    Mr. F.

  2. Is it not just worth what you have paid for it, get the seller to send you a reciept??

  3. I've tried that route but the guy isn't responding to my emails anymore. Also it needs to be from a business. All I need is for some kind person to put the frame is worth £700 so HMRC can charge me the appropriate VAT and I can then proceed to the DVLA bit of the import process.

  4. I wonder if the PayPal receipt will do?

  6. I've sent it off and hopefully it will be good enough. Thanks for your responses.

  7. surely if you value it less you pay less vat??

  8. Trouble is I can't value it less and I can't find anyone in the braking / biking industry willing to put pen to paper to help me out. Hopefully the PayPal invoice will do and I get it UK registered.

  9. I'd get your mince pies checked aswell at the same time, this is the Brakers vent lights section :grinning:

  10. bit of a dyslexic moment for me, the forum started brakers... so I though it was a breakers thread.
