  1. Hello gentlemen,
I need your help, because now Im little confused and dont know how to continue with my work.
I browsed many websites, but I didnt find anything which could help me.
Now is proper time for tuning and improving bike,I decided to change fork oil, but there are some little problems which stoped me.
My first question is: correct fork oil volume? I read my owners manual and found 0,511ml,but in other electronic manual I found 0,480ml. What is correct??? I tried to find more details and found, that volume is not so important, but the most imortant is oil leve(height from the top of fork). OK, but how is oil level??? and how to measure it (please see picture 1).Could I measure this oil level in this position or is necessary to remove inside parts and etc.. (I think, that I could to measure as it is on picture). And my next question is how is stock alignment fork/triple clamp ???? (see picture 2). Now I have fork 11,5mm(measured included special screw) above triple clamp and I was quite satisfied with steering ,but I think, feeling of stability is not so good as I expect.
I use my bike on road riding and few times per year on track and I like faster riding
An my second theme is suspension set up but it is connected with sentences above.
Is necessary to measure a sag with rider - with clothing, boots and in riding position(weight 87kg) or naked? (I think, first is correct but for assurance)
sag according manual is 35/ 30 mm and I have 32/27mm (or is better to set it to stock values for my weight?)
Preload - 21mm,compression 11 clicks, rebound 10clicks both counterclockwise from fully tightened. Please I know, that set up is very personell thing, but I gather information. All my components are OEM Ducati 999 2006
    Thats all:smile:
Thank you for you answers and I apologize for my english

  2. A well recomended 999 set up for forks is 4 lines showing above the yoke but this will make the bike steer a bit quicker and less stable to how you have it now. Also rear ride height 285mm between centres of tie rod. Can't help you with fork oil level. Sag is measured with your kit on. Interested in fork oil level myself as I have this to do.
ps. 4 lines showing is the maximum you should raise the fork legs in the yokes.
