Just wondering if anyone has any information on the Ducati factory and whether you can get away with turning up without pre booking? I'm over in Italy on business from Tuesday until Friday and haven't really thought much about the actual locations until now as a colleague has organised most of the meetings, however looking at the map it's only a slight 80mile detour to the factory so it'd be rude not to try and fit it in. According to the site below everything is pre booking and from what I can make out there's only 4 distinct time slots, non of which I can commit to until the day really Ducati location and directions information to visit us Is it worth just turning up or isn't there much to see / do unless you're guaranteed entry on one of the tours?
Sod it, I've just booked a few times across two days It's my only option really as it all depends on how long the meetings take
Email them and explain situation saying how dedicated you are and see if they'll book you in on flexi type visit. They weren't very helpful to me in 2010 tho.
The problem is that they need to make sure they have an English speaking guide available to take you round the factory. If you contact them by email to explain, they are very helpful. Also if you're a member of one of the owners clubs you get in free instead of paying €10.
That are you get a typical Rossi-esque Italian guide. Stock phrases are: Ees very faasstt. Ees very nice.
don't just turn up,i tried that and ended up at Ferrari instead.now that's a good tour. e mail and explain and even try phoning if youv an Italian speaker handy . Ees very big balls.
