  3. Are you looking to buy one @Sambighair ?

I’ve a couple of K reg Monsters, built on 10th May ‘93, and really like them.

    They aren’t for sale though.

    Good luck with your quest!

  6. No original parts

The only history is MOT and his verbal assurances of what he'd done to it during his ownership.

It's on a L plate not sure how early this makes it, not that I care it's just a toy now most of my riding is weekdays on my BMW and hoons are on my KTM. Last time I rode it was to the MOT station haven't looked at it since.

Shame really it just sits at the back of my garage unused.

I bought it a couple of years back from an older fellow in Liverpool who hadn't ridden it for 2 years and his 916. he'd in the intervening time developed an inkling for Porsche 911's.

He'd bought it in a sorry state and renovated it to his liking, mine too.

A lot of the modifications he'd made himself as he was an engineering lecturer, real nice bloke.

  7. It has to be pretty early DS to be on an “L” plate.

It could be a ‘93 model year, or a ‘94 (Ran from the motor shows in Sept/Oct ‘93). The only difference to original spec between ‘93 and early ‘94 model years was that ‘93 had yellow rear suspension hoop and ‘94 had bronze to match the frame, though other changes occurred as ‘94 model year progressed.

  8. yep I'm after one! that looks clean! I know who to mither if I have any questions now :joy::joy::joy:

  9. Thanks for the info, I'm after one with a bit more originality and me documented history.

  10. Does L plate make it a very expensive Varese model :D

  11. Monster production started in May ‘93 at the Ducati Borgo Panigale factory.

I don’t think it was switched to Varese in ‘94 after the paint shop fire?

  12. Ebay pundits will never know, it could be a Nero Varese, worth a bleedin mint :p

  14. There’s a Facebook page; who knew!

  15. There are a couple relating to Ducati and it's individual models, I just watch for those that come up for sale and don't engage too much with the posts.

Facebook marketplace is another way to search for Ducati Monsters up for grabs it's where I found mine.
