When you look at Design & purpose the Ducati is a more attractive engine to look at & more pleasing to the eye
In all fairness A. the Ape is wearing crash protection and B. Thats a regular Ape and not a factory (factory having magnesium covers) - i know cos ive got one.... Have to put the smiley at the end...
Difficult to tell (not the fact that its an RF) - the colouring of the cover itself....ive got an old factory and mines definately lighter than that...unless the cheap'ed out on the later models and didnt put magnesium covers on them...
Despite the cover colour and material i still prefer the look of the ape.....owning a Hyper 1100 evo sp...and as much as i love it i always feel that the l twin (the old air cooled) is reminiscent of a lawn mower engine...
Wasnt talking about the suspension...i thought we were talking engine here...i will say that with mine they built a good solid bike that hasnt corroded over the years a la ducati and KTM....my 10 year old ape has weathered the best of all of my bikes due to decent coatings and liberal use of stainless fixings...
I love it so much Tap on power. Not ridden a V4 Panigale But apart from the Tricoloure I think the base & S Look dull Not as pretty as the 1199/1299
I think they have gone steadily backwards from the Cucciolo until we arrive at the dog's dinner of today's power plants.
