A very tasty and easyish project. The only downer is the oil leak, which with no description of what or where it is makes me a little worried.
I'd agree an oil leak could be quite worrying if it were from the cases or something that requires an engine strip. It could end up being an expensive buy despite the low mileage. I am surprised it has 3 bids and no answer has been made or given as to the question of the oil leak. Tempting though it might be I think I would give this one a miss, there is always the danger it could become a money pit. Sadly been there once or twice in the distant past!!
Ha no not mine. I'd bet it's rear cylinder base gasket. But it looks a peach of a bike! If I had the room / time. I'd be putting in a cheeky bid.
Looks good but I think if youre going to renovate it to the standard that the bike deserves then it would be a money pit (finding this out myself at the moment) - although ive gotta say im still really enjoying it all the same. Plus I think that in some cases if it does become a money pit and its tackled correctly then in lots of cases you'll recoup that expenditure as someone who is looking will usually realise the work that's gone into it and pay accordingly. Not always the case but can be sometimes...
