Just put my Erde trailer on ebay with a starting price of £250 .............. but why do dickheads message you and ask if i would take £200 cash they either cannot read so good or just stupid . If i wanted to sell it that cheap i would have put it up for cheaper price Oh and the chancers on forums that come on to forums and have a go at others priced items or bikes and have an opinion, then the chancers coming in with a bid 40% below asking price ............seriously don't comment or bid if you don't want or can't afford it .........Save your negative comments for yourself Happy Xmas
Some people want stupid money and some people are too stupid to know it's stupid money. They need protecting Amazes me tho that many want a bargain yet when they sell their stuff it's top dollar plus. TBH if someone thinks it's worth £200 what's wrong with them asking the question? Not like you have to take it or even acknowledge it
I've got no problem with someone making me an offer, but it usually comes in the form of a mail saying"how much for cash now m8?" They never lead anywhere, so I ignore them now. I always ask for a phone number and speak to the seller on the phone if I have an offer.
I know someone who offers around half price for rare two strokes - he gets about 1 in 20 or so very close if not on his offer and a lot of grumpy fook offs too. He's happy evidently :Wideyed:
Got this going on right now....got an optimate on ebay...I know theyre going for 60 quid plug the postage for a new one so I started the bidding at 30 quid plus 4 quid for carriage and within an hour some twat messages me and asks "can I just pay the 30 and take it now...?" to which I replied...."I don't think you understand the way this site works.." - its currently up at 45 quid...strangely the better one (opimate 5) hasn't had one bid...?
But if it sold at your £250 starting price you would lose some to eBay and possibly PayPal so in actual fact his £200 might be a little low but it's not that bad for a quick sale.
I've turned very anti-eBay now. No issue buying from it but no interest in selling through it. They take too much money and the faff is always too much. Lowball offers, people falsely claiming damage etc... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've just had this. My buyer claimed the item arrived damaged, eBay froze £160 in my PayPal account and the buyer had the item. I had no choice but to give him some money back. It's a chancers paradise now for buyers
Thats why i put it up for auction and started it at £250 ???? just don't think people understand the concept :Stop:
I'm not anti-ebay but I generally use it just for advertising. Same percentage of chancers use it as in real life,i.e,lots. I rarely pay the sellers fees:serious buyers invariably understand that and we do a cash deal where I end the listing for whatever reason. And I don't accept paypal unless it's friends or family transfer. The only thing that really grinds my gears is people who email their phone number and expect me to contact them. When that happens I just block them from bidding on my stuff as punishment for their f*ckwittedness, the occasional hysterical emails from them keep me entertained for hours...
i have currently car for sale on ebay @ £12.5k . classified ad. no best offer option. cheapest by miles in its class. i have over 100 people watching. why- no idea... and just had some fuck emailed me asking if i will consider £5k . don't even know what to tell him...
tell him yes, bring cash and arrange to met him somewhere, where upon you both get "robbed". Wrong place wrong time.
1st word is 'Foxtrot'. I've had 1 that I've had to 2 refunds too. On the 1st 1, he provided a shipping address wrongly, so had to refund him so he could change it. The 2nd time didn't use 'Global Shipping' so had to refund the "runt" again. Then he decided it was such a good idea to provide negative feedback which Ebay just deleted and refund any charges etc.
