Anyone with experience with this particular ECU? All help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Maurizio
Long story short and 3 threads later. Coils went bust. ECU most likely as dashboard light up like a xmas tree. Got a set of new coils and a used ECU. My local garage has never done ecu so I need help with the below: 1) Once the coils are on and the old ecu as well, will the bike start? 2) The ecu is supposed to be ready to be used on any bikes. Doe sit mean is blank or does this mean it's with the standard ducati program in it? 3) Regardless to the above, apart from mapping the ecu, what else would I need to do taking into consideration the scenario of having a blank ecu. 4) My local garage is using texa equipement. What would they need to be able to read the bike and run diagnostics on it? AM I MISSING ANYTHING?? Thank you all for your help in advance. I am new to ducati and even newer to the whole electronics issues and all.
Been doing some digging. It would appear that the immo for your bike is held in the dash eeprom and not the ECU. So it would appear that in common with bikes like the 848/1098/1198 the ECU can be used with any other like bike. So, if the ECU is mapped for your bike it should be plug and play.
Bike starts so plug and play was how things are. What a relief Just need to check if i need to map the bike
