1260 Eml & Snapped Exhaust Valve Cable

  1. 1260S: Amber EML came on yesterday, bike is running fine. Had a poke about and found that the exhaust valve cable has snapped. Servo appears to be operating freely. Would this throw up a fault and cause an amber light? Butterfly removed from the valve ages ago, so despite the valve not working it's not affecting the performance of the bike.
Would a healtech get rid of the EML if that's the case?

  2. I think the valve motor senses load on it when operating the cables.
Now that one is snapped it will sense the load and give you a warning light.
With ktms this will restrict the power.
    I would fit a healtech.

  3. As the dealer wants to charge me an hour of labour to read the fault I might as well buy a healtech. I think you are probably correct in that if there's no resistance on the cable it's thrown a wobbler.
