  3. I'm not sure there are any hard and fast rules, but my understanding is that you have to do at least your first couple of EMMs on a Multistrada, then be invited if you plan to come along on another make/model plus you need to stand at the bar all night / every night, with wallet in hand :)

I'm really looking forward to my 4th EMM next June. There are members of this forum who have attended most if not all the EMMs.

If you are thinking of coming along next year and you were planning to catch the ferry to/from Spain book ASAP as spaces for bikes are very limited. My understanding is that some crossings in June 2020 are already fully booked :-(

  8. Great choice of hotel in Chaves, complete with drawbridge, stayed there earlier this year and back again in March.

  9. Perhaps for those of us who wouldn’t be able to attend we should consider other local simultaneous meet ups.
    Just a thought......
For example, there’s a place in the UK called Dom,s bikestop, loads of parking and overnight camping facility’s if required.

  10. And right on the edge of the UKs best roads in mid and South Wales

  11. Correct.
    Could be a plan :bucktooth::upyeah:

  12. Dom's is apparently a good source of food poisoning according to some I know... willing to cautiously give it a try for a meet-up though.

  13. What dates are you sailing to get there for the 14th?
    & Portsmouth or Plymouth
    thx

  14. Hi Bob - There are three of us are on the Portsmouth ferry leaving on the 12th and returning on the 19th to Santander.
Steve and a couple of others are making a longer trip of it.
There are also a couple of people who are riding down.
This will be my 7th one and they are always enjoyable with riders from all over Europe (some from America and even Australia on one occasion). Always a good mix of riding and socialising, nice hotel and great route planning.
Send me a DM if you want more info.

  17. :upyeah::upyeah::upyeah: Looks good - intended to go this year but it clashed with other plans

  18. o_O Bob,
Just a word of warning to genuinely help you out: Steve 123's plans are notoriously incredibly detailed and very 'colourful', so be prepared and don't say I didn't tell you...….:joy::bomb:
Only joking of course, he's a terrific planner for lazy bast**ds like me, who don't do spreadsheets, something Steve does 'with a vengeance' :motorcycleduc::noentry:
