Morning All recently ventured into the world of Ducati with a 2020 Enduro 1260 after 30 years with Honda. I'm thinking of adding front fog lights, fixed to crash bars, I've noticed on the left hand switch gear a switch for fog lights, it it just a case of getting a set and plugging them in somewhere? or does it need a main dealer to program something to enable the circuit? kind regards Neil B
The switch on the handlebars is designed for the Ducati fog lights which are available as a spare part set. You usually need to get a dealer to activate them but people with the OBD (?) gadget can do it themselves. On the older bikes the kit came with a wiring extension as well but the newer models might have all the connections already in place. As far as I’m aware I don’t think anyone has found a way to connect other brands to be able to use this switch. They require a separate switch
Thanks for the quick reply yeah, I found a youtube video, which shows the installation process requiring an OBD code reader. I've found a reasonably price set of Puig fog lights with a wiring loom, relay and a switch, need to decide where to mount the switch, I don't fancy cutting a rectangular hole in the body work to mount the switch, but I could design and 3D print a mounting bracket to attach the switch to an exiting bracket
