Hi, I have Multistrada 1000DS, 2003, just had full service done on it. When I start it in the morning for my commute to work, it’s on straight away. It holds the revs well. But then when riding for couple minutes and for example stop at lights, it cuts out. And it keeps on cutting out (only when I stop and put neutral or on clutch and first gear) until the temperature is around 70 degrees, which takes about 15 minutes in this weather. I know my battery is due to be replaced as it doesn’t last more than week without riding/charging. Could it be the battery or is there any other problem? Or would it be worth increasing the idle a bit? Thank you! Kind Regards, Martin
I’ve had the throttle, basically all controls down as I my handlebars were replaced. Would you please know if it’s necessary to do the TPS reset after that? Or if it doesn’t make any difference?
not entirely sure tbh. it appears to be something that needs doing from time to time i hve done 16k on mine and never been an issue. just see it often on ere. :smileys:
It shouldn't be but it's worth doing anyway. A TPS reset is done through software and only takes a couple of minutes, with most of that time spent getting access to the connector close to the ECU.
