Looking for any previous experince with this problem - EOBD light lit up after about 5-10mins ticking over - Fault code pointed to engine sensor - Tried connector no joy - Ended up replacing sensor - Arrgh after replacing and setting to slightly closer gap that manual - thought all was well alas no - after 5mins of ticking over up to about 70 degrees damn light comes on again !!! However no fault codes coming out of diagnostics !!! also light seems to be intermittent - Thoughts plse..... before I go to local dealer for assistance Thanks
Nope the light comes on and when I interrogate there is nothing - It certainly did give me the faulty code before - but nothing now
Having had many a eobd light come on I'm surprised there isn't a code. Rightly or wrong I tend to air on the side of that a 999 will soon tell you if it is unhappy... If its running ok and riding ok then it's probably ok. Give us a shout when a code comes up and I'll have probably had the same.
Nope not a sausage - However I am working on a theory that there may be a linkage to this which is actually a Fault code 34 see extract from manual - Right now Im looking at how you get into the instrument panel An absolute pressure sensor in the instrument panel measures the barometric (ambient) pressure and this information is transmitted from the instrument panel to the CPU for essential adjustments of the quantity of fuel injected when the motorcycle is ridden on routes at various altitudes (e.g. a route that starts at sea level and ends at a high altitude)
No I never have.... it strangely hasn't come on since I had the nose cone off. Bloody ducati's.......
Ok Thanks - Think I'll seek advice before trying to prise it open and I think as you say the sensor is not a big deal but I dont like warning lights flashing - I see on another forum a guy did open it up and used a electronic wash on the board - no recurrence -
