Happy New Year All I have a question regarding the EPROM which is fitted to my bike. The bike is an 02 748R. i have the 50 mm Termi half system fitted and I also have the OEM EPROM with the service documents number 77 for Open Exhausts. it was for this very reason I decided to have a look at the fitted EPROM, unfortunately it's just a plain black eprom with a white sticker with handwriting stating748R Now the bike rides well and most of you will say if its not broke don't fix it, I want to know what this EPROM is and if its any good, I know the OEM supplied EPROMs were naff therefore if the previous owner has paid out a lot of money for a chip and set up I don't want to reverse this by putting in the Ducati chip, but at the same time this could be an equally naff chip from a one hit wonder ebay merchant. the bike has extensive history but I can't find anything that details the chip, the only other option I have is to write to the owner as he is ex directory. Would an EPROM reader tell you much ? Or is that all binary code ? What would you do ? thanks
