1200 Enduro Euduro Alternator Cover

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Spud256, May 26, 2019.

  1. Hey guys, my chain snapped and cracked the alternator cover. I bought a new one, and removed the old with the correct tool. It was a bitch to get off and took some real pressure on the puller tool. I can't get the new one to fit. It looks the crankshaft is not central for the bearing in the cover when the gear change and water pump line up. Is it possible I've somehow bent the crankshaft with the puller tool?

  2. Did you use the enduro workshop manual as a guide?

Direct link to another forums host the enduro W/S manual.

  3. If your concerned you have bent the crank, turn the engine over (by hand if possible).
This will show you whether it's running out or not.
