No but I have used water wetter which is like a water surfactant which raises the boiling point of water to allow an engine to run cooler. It does work, but as far as the above is concerned unless you have a problem I would not spend that much money on it, especially with the propensity that 748-9**'s tend to split their coolant tanks. If a tank goes then you are loosing a lot of costly coolant.
She could sell me tap water has a coolant. Joking aside, Evans is pricey stuff, but thought it might reduce the pressure in the system which would cause the header tank to fail. I'm probably tempting fate now, but my bike is 97' 748 bip I've had from new with no coolant system problems. Also it's supposed to cut down on internal corrosion .I've also got a set of silicone hoses to fit,has the original ones are looking a bit tired. Dogrose
Pressure is related to temperature, keep the temperature down and there will be less pressure and therefore less chance of the tank splitting. Personally, and admittedly having tried water wetter, if I was going to use anything I would plump for that, about a third of the price and for me it dropped the running temperature by 5c. This was in a car with very marginal intake cooling through the radiator and it was just enough to stall the fan from coming in more regularly than I wanted, job done as far as I was concerned. There's no harm in trying in trying the Evan's product, but to my mind it is a costly experiment, but don't be deterred if you think it might work for you.
I used it on my old Mazda Rx7 drift/track car and it seemed to work well at keeping the oil temps down. As said it is pricey so for me it depends on if I think the vehicle use warrants it. Rotary cars run pretty hot so it makes sense to spend the cash. I guess it would make sense if your bike runs hot, although I've not really felt the need.
