Exeter Area Repair

Discussion in 'Sport Touring' started by Karl 992, Apr 18, 2020.

  1. Does anyone live in the area and know of a good dealer able to replace the fork seals on my ST3S? Is anywhere open at the moment for ‘key workers’?

  2. A question to ask of @Tim Maccabee perhaps ? Tim is MD of Ducati UK and is a forum member. He might know if any of the dealers in your area could help. Andy

  3. Hi Karl

Whilst I am local, I don’t know many.

Exmouth Motorcycles might be able to help. Bridge Motorcycles maybe or SP Motorcycles?

Riders in Bridgewater is shut sadly.

    That’s all I know of.

  5. Thanks. SP not open at moment. Not replying to email.
Hadn’t thought of Exmouth. Are they any good?
    Where are Louigi Motorcycles?
    Wouldn’t normally use Bridge ....
Also, any recommended online parts companies?

  6. Louigi moto are in Bristol mate well other side of Bristol in clutton hill.

  7. Thanks all. Have contacted GT. Louigi sounds great, but a long way, especially now!

  8. Anyone know off/recommend any online Ducati parts suppliers?

  9. Try Moto Rapido in Winchester, they are closed but believe are contactable by email for parts etc which they will post out to you?

  10. Thanks, have bookmarked those two.

  11. Simon Rolls has rebuilt shocks for me. He'd probably be able to help you out with supply and fit. 07977507395

  12. Thanks all.

  13. There’s a Ducati specialist up at Dunkeswell who’s worth a try.
    Red Max Speed Shop.
Also, there’s a place in King Edward St, off Cowley Bridge Rd, called The Worx who does Ducatis and is enough of a specialist to have a shim kit.
Another possibility is Browns in Ottery St Mary, who are great for MOTs. They wouldn’t be able to do shims but should be fine for fork seals.
    OR

  14. Red Max Speed Shop, bloody hell thats Steve Hilliar I thought he’d stopped working when the place in Abbotts Anne closed down.

  15. Allegedly, he was a founder member and the original spanners man at Moro Rapido

  16. He was known as ‘Dr Ducati’ by some people. I had quite a few encounters with him at Moto Rapido and Red Max. He’s a talented spanner man who after Moto Rapido seems to be going along the road of ‘life style’ biking. Basically he’s a quiff and comb biker living the dream. good luck to him.

  17. A bit late to the party here, but I use John Tremlett motorcycles in Ashburton for MoTs and tyres on my Multi and Monster. Great little family run place, and very capable.
