1200 DVT Exhaust Bracket For A Multistrada Dvt

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Duc2, Sep 8, 2015.

  1. Does anybody know of an aftermarket replacement for the rear foot peg exhaust hanger, i don't need the peg as i don't carry a pillion and can't stand the look of the standard item.

    Thanks.

  2. Or even one for the non-dvt as well? Jon.

  3. Does the exhaust actually attach to the passenger pegs on the dvt then?

On my previous 2012 multistrada s touring I never had the passenger pegs fitted unless the Mrs came out on the back.

Pretty sure they didn't physically attach to the exhaust

  4. Correct - the exhaust doesn't attach to the footpeg. You can just unbolt both footpegs - no problem.

  5. ...unless you have the Termi exhaust which does attach to a specially modified rear footpeg.

  6. Nice recovery tobers.............. just!!!

  7. So if you're not running the termi on the dvt you can still remove the rear pegs and hanger?

That's good if the case as I'd not buy the termi anyway

  8. Correct.

  9. I bought the Termi full system which I'm really happy with :), apart from that shite foot peg/exhaust hanger :Yuck:. Any solutions gratefully received?

  10. There's a wee metal engineering company up the road from me who've done a lot of work for me in the past - I plan to drop in and see if they can make up a hanger. Will let you know.

  11. Cheers Tobers

  12. Hi Tobers, Did you have any joy with the exhaust bracket? Cheers.

  13. Nope - they haven't got their finger out despite measuring up, so I'm going to try another place. It's potentially a simple job to get a bit of ally and bend it correctly. An even simpler approach is a flat bit of ally with some spacers (though it wouldn't look as good). I hate the current footpeg setup - it's just gack.

  14. I just haven't got the talent, so will have to wait for someone to solve it for me......

  15. Hi guys I have been working on this exact thing for a friend.
Here is an image of my 3d printed prototype and the fitting hardware I made today for it.

Let me know if anyone is interested as I can get some extras lasercut at the same time. Drop me a PM.

  18. Sweet...i'll take one for a Multi ENDURO but you already know that ;)

Stainless or Aluminum gets my vote.
