Exhaust Header Fixings

  1. hello troops, im going to be replacing my exhaust shortly on my old track bike and the original bolts are very rusty, so im going to replace them, but what with?? can i use stainless bolts or stud and nuts?? or best to use just zinc plated originals?? any advise greatly welcomed.

  3. just been on fowlers website you can still get the original bolts and gaskets

  6. Before now I've used brass manifold nuts on stainless studs. If the studs seize in the head then hey ho because the brass pretty much reduces any chance of seizure & corrosion.

    I little dob of copper grease with a spring washer underneath to stop 'em vibrating loose.

    Search on ebay for 'brass manifold nut'
