999 Fairing

  1. I'd never heard of Motorcycle Parts Warehouse. I had one HiFlo oil filter for the 999 and, since the SS uses the same one, decided to buy another three. Best deal I could find was from this MPW place. Then before I know definitively whether my gel battery for the SS is knackered, thought I'd get an AGM version anyway. Best deal I could find was from this MPW outfit.
So I went to the site to see what else they had. Nothing specific for the SS, but for the 999, among some other stuff
https://motorcyclepartswarehouse.co.uk/ducati-999-03-04-abs-fairing-kit-unpainted.html: £244. I'd buy one if I had the space.
    And this: https://motorcyclepartswarehouse.co...iring-kit-3-pieces-unpainted-abs-plastic.html: £55. Mono.
I'll contact them and see if they do a biposto version.

  2. When they finally got back to me the impression was that the bip version was out of stock, but would be back in stock before long. Then I was sent a picture of one - for a 998!

I've sent a picture of mine but haven't had a response yet.

I looked at mine again today and it didn't look like as much work as I was thinking.

Though why I'd want a complete fairing would be because I could paint it any colour I liked. Green, perhaps.

  3. This seems conclusive: no, they don't have a bip version. Rather implying that the source is precisely the same Chinese factory that all those multiple Chinese concerns selling the exact same set of 999 mono fairing kits in various finishes, who for some reason don't do a bip version. Only MPW get them before they've been painted.
