Great story. The thing is, the edge of space is 62 miles up. 24 miles is pretty far but a long, long way short of the edge of space.
Fixed that for you- is there a sign saying 'this is the edge' . are there yellow lines to stop one parking to take snapshots?
I I corrected my mistake, now no one knows what the hell we're talking about! Having skydived for 5 years from a max of 15000ft, generally 12500 (2 1/2 miles) 24 miles is fckin awesome
Where in this wonderful clip or postings is the edge of space mentioned? Can't we just watch and and admire
My heartbeat rose just watching this. So what altitude would the chute have opened if he fell unconscious when violently spinning? Or maybe remote release (I hope not!).
Im finding you pretty tiresome Pete. Thats all! Id rather you didnt Dont respond with some smart arse comment!) Your username should be PedanticPete1950.
@Mr C I think @Pete1950 values accuracy, is in this case absolutely correct and is (almost) always polite; I can live with that.
Yes. I love hyperbole in the right hands - Jeremy Clarkson is brilliant at it, for example. Just using incorrect terminology isn't hyperbole if it isn't funny or clever, and doesn't make a point. Then it's just a mistake.
