I love my Panigale. I also have a 2011 Multistrada and a KTM 950 Adventure. The last two are really redundant now as I no longer go on long rides. I rather fancy a change. The KTM may be sold this weekend, and I could therefore dispose of the Multi too. At present, my replacement fancies vacillate between: Aprilia’s SXV or RXV (there are both 450 and 550 versions for sale) hypermotard 821 I’d fancy the Hyper SP but it’s probably out of budget. The SXV is my heart choice. Light weight and beaucoup BHP But its saleability isn’t good, and it hasn’t the longevity and bells&whistles of the Hyper The Hypermotard is almost as heavy as my Multistrada… Any comment? Anyone had the Aprilia?
I had the sxv in RRV form. The sxv’s are a weapon. Cal550 up north rebuilds them, they are a high output low weight bike. Ideally they need a refresh after 50 run hours, parts are getting harder to find. Get one that’s been well looked after, preferably that Cal has rebuilt The 450 are linear power, very quick, the 550’s are a different animal. I’d like an SXV at some point, the prices are increasing I can put you in touch with him, he usually has one or two lying around ready to roll. He’ll build a nice race engine too, he engineers all the shit design flaws out of the standard Aprilia engines
