FB have reviewed the 939SP in the current (December) issue of the mag. They mention how it could become FB bike of the year, which is nice. Pretty much nothing but praise for it. They comment on the seat being uncomfortable which I disagree with bt otherwise a really glowing review. :sunglasses:
I'd have to say I was impressed with the 821 that Simon T went out on was quicker than I expected (following on my 1100) so while I'd still maintain an 1200 lump would have been better I'd like a 939 but not at the price they're at plus I still love my 1100evo so too much to sell it. I love the low end shove too much! Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
Having not ridden an 1100, I have to say that the 939 has pretty good low end itself. I can almost pull away in a wheelie off the power (my benchmark grunt test). Missing mine as it's tucked away now until march. Riding an old R1 through the winter and it's not the same. :disappointed:
As long as it's dry, not raining or salty ill be on mine... I can handle the cold as it's only 10 miles to work and I've got heated grips... Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
They do but they don't have the torque.... 72.5 ft lbs at 75.k....mines making about 93 currently and it's down a bit as it's not been back on the dyno (air filters fitted) so I expect to see a bit more. Plus mines a tad lighter...but in all fairness that's against a stocker... So there's room for the 939 to make probably a lot more power... Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
They are just 'totting up' the advertising accounts as to which manafacturer has paid the most for advertising in the mag before they do the SBOTY write up. Rest assured if Royal Enfield paid the most for advertising the Calcutta Ninja 350 would be head and shoulders over the Duke.
Well, yes this is true but it's still nice to read nice things about what you just bought... Having said that yes, very true on the review front... I make my own decisions now on purchases.... Eg I almost bought an s1000r based on reviews and by sheer luck had a test drive on one and hated it.... Bought a z1ooo instead which I love still 2 years on... I think the 44 teeth crew are now essentially rent boys now... They didn't even trash talk those cheap shitty Chinese bikes they test drove... They're only gripe with the Sdr tourer was "its a bit expensive....." Fagan described the outgoing panigale a year back or so as "a scaffold bar with wheels" I think fast bikes are on the yamaha payroll at the moment as I expect in next months instalment of the Mt10 is that it'll cure world hunger.... Theres nothing it can't do... Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
I know but its his words...on you tube somewhere...and if he didn't mean what he said it further reinforces my opinion on reviews to a certain extent... Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
