  1. Just wondering if anyone has fitted one.I run a totally standard ST4s except for rear 42 sprocket,is there any real improvement in fitting one of these chips.? Thanks in advance.

  2. It won't fit in an ST4s, they have no chip. For the 4s you need to replace the ECU with a Ducati Performace one. You might have a hard job finding one now and at around £500 new I think they were a waste of money.
I ran my ST4s for nearly 50,000 miles with Sil Motor open exhausts and an open airbox lid for near 50,000 miles with no problems. It ran just fine. Maybe fitting a PCIII and getting it fine tuned on a dyno would have given a bit more power - but would I have noticed?

  3. What year is the bike?

My 2001 had DP carbon exhausts. These were supplied and fitted by Ducati. The kit came with no ECU. All that was required was an adjustment of the fuel trim/CO.

The ST4S was originally fitted with the IAW59M ECU (bet 2001 and 2004) later bikes were fitted with the IAW5AM. I've checked my map collection and I don't have any DP maps for the ST4S using the IAW59M. The only DP map I have is for a 2005 non-ABS ST4S with IAW5AM ECU.

If your bike uses the IAW59M then I would suggest you use JPDiag and a Gas Analyser to get the CO perfect. If your bike uses the IAW5AM ECU then I can reflash it to the DP mapping for you (PM me)

  4. Like Derek, I ran the DP carbon cans on my '02 ST4s and like Chris said no ECU upgrade or mods. Ran well with noticeably better low down grunt. Only took them off because I always ended tail end charlie as no-one wanted to ride behind me. Apparently the v twin pulses made it uncomfortable and to be fair, they were bloody noisy. They might still be in the loft mmmmmmmmm now that gives me a thought . Andy
