I heard about a FatDuc alternative on another forum. Deciding to give it a go I ordered one @ £57 inc post. When the unit arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. The first thing I noticed was that the plug/socket are both at one end and the electronics are at the other end. This has obvious benefits when installing. Having owned a fatduc I also noticed that the electronics appear to be sealed in much better on the new unit. Installation was simple and positioning of the adjuster was far easier than the fatduc alternative. I have mine, on the Monster S2R on the left hand side of the frame, on the vertical tube just behind the forks (see pic). The default position of the adjuster is at the 10 o'clock position and I found that the best for my bike is about the 12 o'clock position. The bike runs a lot better in the lower revs than without the unit. I would thoroughly recommend this O2 optimiser. It's made, here in the UK by Simon Silborne. I have no involvement in this unit, have never met Simon, I just believe in passing the word if I find something worthy of praise. Here is Simons contact details.
