I’ve a bike with a faulty dash. The bike will start and run but the dash remains blacked out and also doesn’t respond to any inputs from the LH switch gear assembly. Its been diagnosed (Carmo) as having a faulty main processor chip and is irreparable . Choices are a new one £1100 or a used one £450. Has anyone had cause to replace a dash unit on a 1260 (or 1200 for that matter) and if so, is there anything I need to be aware of? I appreciate with a used option the stored mileages won’t match but believe I can synchronise them (to the higher value) via the diagnostic computer. TIA.
