I'm thinking of doing this by making up templates then finding a suitable plastic that can be cut and flexed then held in place using small black zip ties. All removable so it can be put back to stock of course. Anyone else done this ?
I just taped mine up with extra wide black electrical insulation tape, cut to fit the hole, you have to look very hard to see if its even there, then just remove it again come summer time..
Same - I cut two bits of black thick rubber to fit the holes and held in place with Black Duct tape. Saves my the thumbs from getting frozen. Only fitted for the cold weather riding.
Nice idea, it'll help a little... but I'll stick with my muffs, thanks. 1200 - Nice Muffs? | Page 2 | Ducati Forum
I've just tried something simular with of all things the plastic from a black shower gel container, I spent a quick 5 mins shaping a cardboard template then used it as a template to cut the plastic, having seen the rubber sheet ( oooeerrr ) I think this may make a better more flexible cover and with a few small holes punched through and a few small black zip ties it might not look that bad.
