848 Firing Issue

Discussion in '848 / 1098 / 1198' started by vj60, Sep 30, 2018.

  1. Hi All
Starting my 848 evo for the first time in six months today. 2011 with 4300miles (i dont get to use it that much). Bikes not happy, lumpy running and cutting out. Took it for a run but sure it was only firing on one cylinder. So took the plugs out to reveal front cylinder plug blackish and wet and back cylinder plug was light brown and dry. Bike would not rev.
    Ordered new plugs NGK MAR10A-J.
Anything else it could be? I put some fresh fuel in but suppose there will be old fuel still in the system, what do others do about old fuel? Should I stick with these OEM plugs?
    TIA

  2. Could be front coil defective/injested moisture, if no change with new plugs then you can swap coils over to confirm.
