Jump in biker accidents prompts first aid course offer. I received an offer via email last week but I know not how my email was obtained. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cly54qe05ypo
Might sign up for that. https://www.midlandsairambulance.com/First-Biker-on-Scene When I see some other bikers riding on the road, the statistics are not a surprise. Saw two yesterday in front of me making completely inappropriate ovetakes eventually resulting in one clipping the wing mirror of a car coming the other way, taking the mirror clean off. Very lucky he wasn't another accident statistic.
Did a Biker Down course a few weeks ago with a Gloucestershire organisation. As a regular leader of rideouts in the area and also set up and lead a few tours with mates it's something I've been meaning to do for quite a while. Free of charge and an evening of time with a couple of experienced police bikers and paramedics.
I've been trying to find a Biker Down session in Bristol. I hear it's usually a fire service thing - was that the case for your Gloucestershire one?
The Midlands Air Ambulance covers Herefordshire too I believe which isn’t so far if you’re struggling to access anything closer to home. https://www.midlandsairambulance.com/First-Biker-on-Scene
Yesterday We saw a biker doing a wheelie from one roundabout to another in the right lane passing cars on his left while we were having coffee in Starbucks car park Ross
I think that might be the case. The building that they run it from is adjacent to Gloucester South Community Fire Station. The courses are run by a guy called Rossy, a retired police rider, I know him through one of my rideout groups. Check here. Contact via their FB group, link in above page or email.
