1200 First Proper Rideout

  1. Went out tonight on the MTS, first time two up and ride and was grinning from ear to ear.

I need to adjust the headlight as its far too high, struggled to select neutral a few times, but awesome road holding and balance.

Can I get it ready for its first service and get it serviced ready for a long weekend on 17/7, lets hope so.

  2. great aren't they. you go skyhook?

  3. 1200 GT with a few goodies thrown in.

Have you adjusted your headlight ?

  4. nope haven't really used at night yet, and after 5500 miles thats pretty poor :(

  5. I will give Snells a call, to discuss and book the first service.

  6. My lights were also high, even without passenger. Had them adjusted at last service. Seems they come from the factory set to blind oncoming motorists;)

  7. Now I know why some mates I went riding with recently were complaining about how bright my lights were in their mirrors!! Maybe I need to adjust mine down at tad!!

  8. :upyeah: Steve it's really easy, once you've made the graduation marks for height alteration on a flat surface as described in the manual, garage door, wall or somewhere, there are screw adjusters just under the screen either side of the instrument housing, which give a lot of room for adjustment to align with the recommended settings. From memory they only allow vertical alignment, not lateral, it's a typically Italian thing, if you know what I mean!

Come on you is a practical geezer ain'tcher? :Bag:
Oh and a massive welcome to the Ducati Mutli clan. Tell me it's red, coz it's got to be red.....:Bored:

  9. Tony, rest easy Its red !

I am now 99% sure Ive got it sussed, the screws I had dismissed as holding something together are in fact the adjusters. Having had BMWs for some years I have been spoilt with knobs and easily identifiable adjusters.

Im going out on the Pan tonight so will adjust the lights when I get back home. Just going for down adjustment tonight, over the weekend I will be drawing lines etc. and doing it properly. I may well use the Multi to do an air ambulance blood run on Saturday night. Should almost definitely going to the Social next Thursday, might see you there ?

  10. Steve, I knew you were more practical than you were letting on!:Banghead:
As to using the Mutli for the AA run, well you surely weren't planning on using the Panigale were you?:Woot:

  11. i just reduced the height of the dip beam, but will set up so marks tomorrow night when a mate is around and Clare and I can sit on it
