Having originally thought I’d get a oem placky top box for my multi to go with the original side cases I had 2nd thoughts after realising how big and fugly they are! Probably to compensate for the paltry side case capacity. So I left that decision on the back burner until a cheap(ish) SW-Motech topbox and rack came up for sale , I wavered until a discount appeared so it became a sweetened no brainer. This was a returned item so wary of it having bits missing but other than a butchered thread on a solitary bolt (cleaned with tap/die ) it went on relatively painlessly once I’d deciphered the simplistic nearly complete destructions and worked out what the remaining bits were for. So it’s smaller than the huge Duc placky one and will only hold one lid, but it’s unobtrusive (if a top box can be that) and it was half the price of the Duc box and I get a rack for strapping stuff to if I go top(box)less. I had thought that if I were to do a long haul tour two up I’d have to get metal side cases for the capacity and this will blend in if I do. Ps it’s a piece of PeePee to fit remove.
