Just in case anyone finds this thread in a search, I've been looking into how to get one to squeeze into the available space on a Diavel. There is just about space for an Autocom Logic unit in the space under the seat. It's tight, but there is room. The 12V power cable sticking out the end is a problem, though, because the strain relief makes the unit half an inch longer than the available space. I filed a small hole in the side of the battery compartment lid in order to bring the cable out of a different side, and I replaced the cable itself with one that has an in-line fuse holder, just in case. Rather than wiring to the battery, I attached a plug that fits the diagnostic connector. The plug is RS part number 673-7789 (FCI 211PL042S0011), and the contacts that go with it are 673-7862. Assuming* that the connector is wired the same as on the Monster 696 (to which I've successfully fitted and powered sat nav this way), pin 1 is +12V and pin 2 is ground. Don't connect to pins 3 or 4 as these are the CAN bus. *I've not yet actually taken delivery of the bike, so I've not yet actually tested this! Check with multimeter before plugging in, and don't blame me if bad things happen.
