So we went out fo a “quick” run this morning and stopped for breakfast, out we came and no ignition on the bike, flummoxed me for a minute until I realised the fob battery could be dead, luckily I carry a spare and fitted it and hey presto it worked. On my GTR it gave me a warning on the dash of low battery, nothing here at all, just flat, is there a warning and I didn’t notice it as I was “concentrating” or do they simply stop working?.
My 2014 bike dash warned me about a week before it died. but not sure about the DVT as it's not happened yet.
Had the same, luckily I was at home, could have started the bike with the pin code.....but I hadn’t set one, moral of the story- make sure you’ve set your pin code
My battery in fob doesn't last long but generally gives me a couple rides warning with a small icon battery is low. Not always but has always started holding fob to right fairing except once, where I used the pin code.
Good shout!!! I’ve just been out to mine to check 1. I remembered the pin (that I set 2 years ago) 2. I remembered how to enter the pin.....took me 3 goes, but got there eventually. Good idea to also carry a spare battery on the bike too Big Alan. Cheers chaps.
I have put a spare battery under the seat, but how do you put your PIN number in? I know you lift the middle panel and I know the number, but how do you do it?
good idea about keeping a spare battery under the seat. don't suppose you remember the number so i can get a stock in early
thats good, same one as my welding screen and the swmbo mobile. i already keep those, but i'll put one in the pp when it arrives
